10 Years

I wrote this about a dream I had about a former crush, who had by the point I wrote this, become a good friend.

Somehow I ended up here.

Here in this impermeable bubble,

With only happiness to keep me company.

You’re never too far from my mind,

And your smile is branded on my brain.

The gentleness of your touch,

Lingers with me always.

Thrown together in a frenzy

Ten years too long in the making.

But you are here now,

And here you shall always stay.
